Wrecking Crew Band

Wrecking Crew’s near century’s worth of combined professional experience brings a fun loving, polished and excitable sound to any venue they play.  From small honky tonks to large outdoor festivals, their variety of your favorite tunes from the 1960’s to today brings cheers and crowds asking for more.

Rhythm guitarist Randy Bye started his musical journey as a child accordion prodigy but teenagerhood soon swayed his musical interests to electric guitar – playing in groups around Minnesota and North Dakota including “180 Proof”, his experience with vocals, mixing, writing and engineering has lent itself to being asked by multiple groups to lend his talents to their sets. With gravel in his voice to bend your favorite Elvis, Springsteen and Beatles songs, Randy’s stage antics always leave you with a smile.

Lead guitar player Orrin Holmbeck brings youth to the group; starting his music studying from a youngster; his roots in classic rock and the great guitarists of the 20th century flavor his licks, but he easily slides into blues, ballads and a country crooner tune with ease. Quiet in his demeanor and unassuming on stage, his talent shines in every lead he plays.

Drummer Kevin Johnson started at age 15 drumming to the Beatles and by 18 started his road tour with multiple groups, including “Spots On Dice” and “Free Agent”, opening for the likes of Reba McIntire. Kevin’s rock-solid drumming keep the tempo at large and provides the backbone for the drive of the band.
Lead singer and bassist Sarah Holmbeck began her music young by performing for weddings at age 7 and the National Anthem at her first Pro Rodeo by age 10. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, she followed suit in her parents’ eclectic musical tastes and started sitting in with various groups by junior high. Personally selected by Grammy award winning producer Phil Mattson to study under his tutelage at age 17, Holmbeck has gone on to perform vocal jazz, be the girl singer with a 20-piece Big Band, tour as Patsy Cline in a string of tribute shows and selected to perform the National Anthem at the 2017 CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute Out in Las Vegas as part of the National Finals Rodeo. From torch songs to rock ‘n’ roll, country to blues, she enjoys it all. Wrecking Crew’s eclectic mix is here to entertain. And entertain, they will.
